Think Green Highway Litter Program

Think Green! Keep Fresno County Clean! Highway Litter Who wants to look at mile after mile of litter-filled freeways and highways? Roads are covered in cigarette butts, fast food wrappers, soda and coffee cups… But litter is more than ugly—it’s actually harmful to our waterways including lakes, rivers and beaches.

tda

Transportation Development Act (TDA)

As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), Fresno COG administers the Transportation Development Act (TDA) funding. The TDA consists of two major sources of funding for public transportation: the Local Transportation Fund (LTF) and the State Transit Assistance Fund (STA). These funds are allocated to member agencies based on population, taxable sales and transit performance. In Fresno County, the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) holds public meetings to annually determine the unmet transit needs that are reasonable to meet throughout the County.
