SUMMARY:Public Meeting: Reverse Triangle Transportation Area Plan
DESCRIPTION:Area residents\, business owners\, and community groups are invited to the Orange Center School Cafeteria\, 3530 South Cherry Avenue\, Fresno on March 9\, 2020\, from 6:00pm-7:30pm to help develop a plan for transportation investments in the Reverse Triangle community. \n  \nThe goal is to improve community access\, while considering the area’s importance as an employment hub.  Attendees can talk to the planning team\, view displays\, and use interactive maps and other tools to provide direct feedback on issues important in the community area.  Participants are asked to share their experiences and ideas for additional transportation choices and neighborhood improvement.  Refreshments will be served.  For those unable to make it to the workshop\, they can view\, they can  visit www.fresnoreversetriplan.com to view the virtual survey and use the interactive mapping tool to share ideas. \n  \nThe plan will cover the area along State Highways 41 & 99\, from Church Avenue (north) on Adams Avenue (south) in Fresno.  The area has diverse neighborhoods fulfilling a mix of roles as both a major employment hub and clustered residential areas.  With increased vehicle and truck traffic\, traveling the neighborhood as a pedestrian or bicyclist can be a challenge.  It is important for both quality of life and economic development that residents\, commuters\, and visitors be able travel easily whether they are choosing to walk\, bike\, drive or use transit to get around. \n  \nThe plan is being led by The Fresno Council of Governments (Fresno COG)\, in partnership with the City and County of Fresno.  These entities are working together on this community driven plan to identify projects that will be competitive to receive funding and can ultimately be constructed. \n  \nThe public outreach team is available for presentations to community\, civic\, business and non-profit groups to provide more details about the plan and give additional opportunities for input.  Visit our website for more information: www.fresnoreversetriplan.com
