DESCRIPTION:Maxie Parks Community Center\, Meeting Room\, 1802 E California Ave\, Fresno\, CA 93706\, At the corner of Elm and California in Southwest Fresno   \n\n\n\nYou are invited to attend any of the five community workshops which will be held in cities throughout Fresno County.  Come learn about the various publicly-funded transportation services available for individuals living and/or working in Fresno County including public bus\, specialized transportation services for seniors and persons with disabilities\, vanpools\, carpools\, and on-demand transportation. \n\n\n\nEach workshop will include an opportunity to ask questions\, discuss needs and priorities\, and share ideas for improving transportation services and programs throughout Fresno County. \n\n\n\nEach workshop will include bilingual (Spanish-speaking) staff.  Interpretation will also be available upon request. \n\n\n\nHave an idea for improving transportation but can’t attend a workshop?  Complete a short survey (click here) and/or leave a comment using the “Contact Us” function.

SUMMARY:Unmet Transit Needs comment period ends
DESCRIPTION:Another cycle of the Unmet Transit Needs (UTN) Assessment started at the January 17\, 2023 meeting for the Fresno COG Social Services Transit Advisory Committee (SSTAC) and is accepting comments through March 24\, 2023.\n\n\n\nAt the beginning of each fiscal year\, the Fresno COG determines the amount of TDA funds available from the TDA Local Transportation Fund (LTF) for allocation to local agencies within Fresno County.  Allocations are made in four categories: Bicycle and pedestrian facilities\, social services transportation\, regional transportation planning\, and public transportation.  Prior to allocating LTF funds for local streets and roads in individual jurisdictions\, the Fresno COG must identify any unmet transit needs that may exist in in that jurisdiction that are reasonable to meet.  The Annual Unmet Transit Needs Assessment is conducted to identify any unmet transit needs and make any related findings.  \n\n\n\nPublic outreach is an essential and required component of the Unmet Transit Needs Assessment.  A survey is available for transit riders and stakeholder in English and Spanish.  You can access this survey through the links below until March 24\, 2023: \n\n\n\nTake the English Survey\n\n\n\nTake the Spanish Survey
