Fresno COG and the Fresno County Transportation Authority (FCTA) are proposing to fund projects of regional significance in the areas of research\, development\, demonstration\, and deployment that will advance public transit and transportation funded by Measure “C”\, Fresno County’s ½ cent transportation sales tax.  This second cycle of the Measure “C” New Technology Reserve Program will make up to $6.4 million available for eligible new technology projects/programs. \n\n2018 – 2019 Measure C New Technology Reserve Grant Program Application Available HERE\n\nApplications can only be submitted by eligible public agencies within Fresno County including the Fresno COG\, Fresno County Rural Transit Agency\, Fresno County\, and the cities in Fresno County who propose projects meeting the eligibility requirements of the Measure C New Technology Reserve Grant Program. Entities deemed ineligible to apply for New Technology Grant funds may apply as a partnering agency but must partner with an eligible public agency that will be responsible for implementing the project. The implementing agency assumes responsibility and accountability for the use and expenditure of program funds.

DESCRIPTION:Location: City of Kingsburg Council Chambers\, 1401 Draper St.\, Kingsburg \n  \nGolden State Boulevard Corridor Improvement Public Meetings\nCities along the Golden State Boulevard Corridor\, including Fowler\, Selma and Kingsburg\, stand to benefit from planned improvements aimed at stimulating economic development. The Fresno Council of Governments in partnership with these three cities\, Fresno County\, and Fresno County Transportation Authority are working together to implement infrastructure improvements along the corridor. The public is invited to view the designs and offer feedback at upcoming public meetings in the respective communities.\n\nThe areas to be addressed include 14-miles of pavement rehabilitation\, 14-miles of enhancement to bicycle and pedestrian facilities\, installation of new traffic signals and standard and decorative street lighting throughout the corridor. The proposed work is estimated to cost approximately $47 million dollars which is funded through Measure C. Final design is scheduled to be complete in the winter of 2018-2019. Construction is estimated to begin in the spring 2019.\n\nPublic Meetings will be held April 24\, 25 and 26\, 2018.   View the public announcement
