As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), Fresno COG administers the Transportation Development Act (TDA) funding. The TDA consists of two major sources of funding for public transportation: the Local Transportation Fund (LTF) and the State Transit Assistance Fund (STA). These funds are allocated to member agencies based on population, taxable sales and transit performance. In Fresno County, the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) holds public meetings to annually determine the unmet transit needs that are reasonable to meet throughout the County. A report of the findings is published each year and submitted to Caltrans Division of Mass Transit (DMT):

Once the final LTF and STA apportionment estimates and FCRTA budget have been approved by the Fresno COG Policy Board, TDA claims for FY 2014-2015 will be submitted.

Final FY 1314 TDA Estimates were approved at the Fresno COG Policy Board meeting in May of 2013. All Member Agencies’ and Transit Agencies’ TDA Claims for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 have been approved by the Fresno COG Policy Board.
